The Mets on Monday released their unintentionally hilarious holiday video for 2013, and, well, let’s just say the players should not quit their day jobs (which some of them are not very good at, as well).
David Wright looks perfectly comfortable in front of the camera, as usual. But Matt Harvey could have used vocal surgery when he underwent his Tommy John procedure, while Travis d’Arnaud appears incredibly unhappy.
Justin Turner holds up his end of a duet with Lucas Duda, but Duda looks like he’d rather be somewhere, anywhere else.
Dillon Gee and Jonathon Niese both try hard, while batterymate Zack Wheeler appears to have never read a teleprompter before.
Overall, it shows why these guys are baseball players and not performers. But you’ll watch it over and over again!
