Video: Now the Fun Starts?!

Here is a 1983 Mets promo with the tag line “Now the fun starts.” I don’t remember that ever being the Mets motto. It certainly wasn’t true, as the Mets finished in last place with a 68-94 record that year. However, Darryl Strawberry won the Rookie of the Year award and they obtained Keith Hernandez midway through the season — the beginnings of the great 1986 team. Now, 27 years later, we’re still waiting for the fun to start again!
