David Wright Has Back Surgery
The Mets revealed Thursday evening that David Wright underwent surgery on his aching lower back, something called a laminotomy. It’s his second procedure in a matter of months, following surgery to repair his shoulder.
Wright suffering a back fracture in 2011 (and played several weeks with the injury) and was diagnosed with spinal stenosis in 2015.
A lesser man would have taken the money and ran to retirement, but David Wright is determined to get back on the field. Mets fans are just as determined to see him there.
