Video: Mets Bat Out of Order

As the Mets season slowly disintegrates, they found a new way to embarrass themselves on Wednesday — they batted out of order.

With one out in the first inning, Wilmer Flores struck out and Asdrubal Cabrera doubled. That was the lineup that was released publicly. Except the lineup the Mets presented to the umpires had Cabrera second and Flores third. Cabrera’s double was erased from the record and the next batter, Jay Bruce, was called out to end the inning.
