Oh No, Jose Reyes Leaves Game

Jose Reyes has left the Mets-Yankees game Saturday afternoon in the third inning with what is being described as tightness in his left hamstring. It apparently happened while beating out an infield hit to lead off the game.

There’s no word yet on how serious this is, but if he’s out for any extended period of time, the Mets are doomed. It could also doom his quest for a nine-figure free agent contract. The cries of “Reyes is fragile” would intensify. Actually, it could help the Mets retain him, but no one wants to win that way.
