Mets Can’t Even Keep Dates Straight!

No wonder the Mets can’t win on the field — they can’t even keep their dates straight.

Sunday evening the Mets posted an ad on Facebook for “Merengue Night” to be held on Friday, August 27. One problem — there is no Friday, August 27. Friday’s date is the 24th; the 27th is next Monday. Maybe somebody was looking at a calender from a few years ago. Or maybe this is a promotion for the near-distant future!

So when is Merengue Night, Friday or Monday?

The ad also included a photo of a Mike Piazza bobblehead, to be given away on Saturday. Why can’t anyone make a bobblehead that actually looks like the person?
