Video: Tom Seaver Oldsmobile Commercial

Here is a commercial Tom Seaver and his dad did for Oldsmobile in the late 1980s, as part of the “this is not your father’s Oldsmobile” campaign.

The strange thing about this ad is that Olds probably paid Seaver a whole lot of money to appear, yet he has just one line; his father does most of the talking. You’d think if you are paying Tom Seaver, you’d want him to do the selling, not his anonymous dad. But what do I know — I’m no Don Draper.
