Mets Arbitration Roundup: Record Raise for deGrom
The Mets settled with all of their arbitration-eligible players on Friday. Let’s take a look on how much they will get paid.
Jacob deGrom will get a stunning $17 million following his Cy Young season. It is a raise of $9.6 million — a record for an arbitration-eligible player.
Noah Syndergaard gets $6 million, with fellow rotation mate Zack Wheeler coming in slightly lower at $5.975 million. Steven Matz will be paid $2.625 in his first year of arbitration.
Also in his first year, Michael Conforto will receive $4.025 million. Travis d’Arnaud had previously settled for $3.515 million. I guess Brodie Van Wagenen does not like round numbers.
