Because Steve Cohen apparently needs the money, the Mets on Thursday jumped into the uniform ad game. They are partnering with a good cause — New York-Presbyterian Hospital — but the patch is ridiculously oversized.

I mean, what’s with all that extra white space? They could easily shrink down the top and bottom lines, making it a really nice, unassuming rectangle. But whatever — this is the future of sports. We might as well get used to it.
