Mets Win Record-Tying 11th Straight

The Mets on Thursday won their 11th straight game, tying a franchise record for consecutive wins.

The Braves made it easy for the Mets — Julio Teheran walked three batters in the first inning and Daniel Murphy drove them all home with a double. The Braves would later tie the score at three but Eric Campbell drew a bases loaded walk to give the Mets the lead. They would go on to win 6-3,

Bartolo Colon was the winner, now leading all of baseball with four wins. Jeurys Familia picked up his eighth save, also leading the majors.

The Mets have the best record in baseball at 13-3 and begin their home schedule with a 10-0 showing at CIti Field. Now it’s onto The Bronx to play the stupid Yankees.

Man, did I pick the wrong time to get married and honeymoon overseas. Thank goodness for this Internet!
