Mets Settle Almost All Arbitration Cases
The Mets Wednesday settled all of their potential arbitration cases except for newcomer Chris Bassitt. Let’s check how my guesses matched up to the reality. I am also including MLB Trade Rumor’s estimates, since it is allegedly the experts, and I like to see how my snap decisions measure up with its grueling hard work.

Pete Alonso $7.4m $7.3m $10m
Brandon Nimmo $7m $6m $7m
Dominic Smith $3.95m $4m $4m
Seth Lugo $3.925m $3.7m $5m
Trevor Williams $3.9 m $3.8m $3m
Jeff McNeil $3m $2.8m $5m

Tomas Nido $890k $900k $2m
Luis Guillorme $875k $700k $2m
Drew Smith $750k $900k $2m
So I did pretty well with the more expensive players, but I was far more generous with the smaller deals. Also, I need to learn how to make straight columns. MLBTR was pretty much right on; that was not always the case in past years, but you’ve got to give credit where credit is due. I guess I should work harder next offseason. Yeah, probably not!
