Breaking: Yoenis Cespedes Re-Signs with Mets
Multiple reports Tuesday afternoon say the Mets have re-signed Yoenis Cespedes. The deal is for four years and $110 million.
Fox Sports midget Ken Rosenthal apparently broke the news first. Various reports say Cespedes will get a full no-trade clause.
This is obviously the best news Mets fans could get. At $27.5 million per year (the same amount he made in 2016), the Mets will have to make another deal to get within the team’s desired budget. Jay Bruce and his $13 million is the most likely candidate to go.
