Mets Fire Pitching Coach Dave Eiland

So it was all the pitching coach’s fault. The Mets on Thursday fired Dave Eiland, as well as bullpen coach Chuck Hernandez. His fault, too, apparently.

Could Mickey Callaway be next?

Eiland came over to the Mets along with Callaway prior to the 2018 season. According to the New York Post, Eiland was “blindsided” by his firing.

Thus the bloodletting in Flushing has begun.
