IBWAA Names Bauer, Bieber Top Pitchers

The Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA) Wednesday named Trevor Bauer and Shane Bieber the top pitchers in their respective leagues (I don’t think we’re allowed to say Cy Young!).

Bauer (the future Met!?) received 628 points, outpacing Yu Darvish (517 points) and our own Jacob deGrom (465). That was my vote as well.

Over in the American League, Bieber got 937 points, easily beating Kenta Maeda (328) and Gerrit Cole (216).  I had Bieber, Dallas Keuchel and Cole.
