Scott Hairston Signs with Cubs

Scott Hairston’s time with the Mets is apparently over — he has reportedly signed with the Cubs.

Fox Sports miniature reporter Ken Rosenthal reported Wednesday night that it is a two year deal and MLB Trade Rumors says it is for around $6 million, including incentives.

The Mets were hesitant to give Hairston more than one year, and reportedly only wanted to pay him $2 million for that year. But Hairston was able to get a better deal elsewhere. Good for Scott Hairston.
