R.A. Dickey Trade Done; Contract Final Holdup

The Mets and Blue Jays have reportedly agreed to a deal to send R.A. Dickey to Toronto — now his contract extension is the final holdup.

Fox Sports midget Ken Rosenthal tweets that the teams have agreed to a 72-hour negotiating window that will expire at 2pm on Tuesday. Dickey is said to be open to signing an extension with the Jays.

The trade would send R.A. Dickey, Josh Thole and a minor leaguer to Toronto for stud catcher Travis d’Arnaud, backup catcher John Buck, top pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard and another minor leaguer.

It’s almost over, folks.
