A funny scene in the Mets big third inning Tuesday night. With Omar Quintanilla on second and Travis d’Arnaud on third, Eric Young singled to left. Quintanilla was off and running, but d’Arnaud got a bad read and actually went back to third before breaking for the plate. The result was that Quintanilla was hot on d’Arnaud’s trail, and they scored within steps of each other. Here is what it looked like, courtesy of SNY.
