Steven Matz Out 3 Weeks with Lat Injury
The Mets just cannot catch a break — Steven Matz will be out for at least three weeks with a lat injury.
The team announced on Twitter Thursday night that Matz was examined by the crack staff at the Hospital for Special Surgery and was diagnosed with a partial tear of the lat muscle on his left side. He received an injection and will not throw for three weeks.
Steven Matz was spectacular in his first two starts, going 2-0 with a 1.32 ERA with 14 strikeouts.
Why can’t the Mets have nice things?
