Beltran, Jones Elected to Hall of Fame; IBWAA Elects No One!
The BBWAA elected former Mets Carlos Beltran and Andruw Jones to the Hall of Fame Tuesday night. In contrast, the IBWAA decided no one was worthy of induction. I agree with the latter (and not only because I am a member).

Carlos Beltrán: 358 votes, 84.2% (4th year on the ballot)
Andruw Jones: 333 votes 78.4% (9th)
Chase Utley: 251 votes, 59.1% (3rd)
Andy Pettitte: 206 votes, 48.5% (8th)
Félix Hernández: 196 votes, 46.1% (2nd)
Alex Rodriguez: 170 votes, 40% (5th)
Manny Ramírez: 165 votes, 38.8% (10th/final)
Bobby Abreu: 131 votes 30.8% (7th)
Jimmy Rollins: 108 votes, 25.4% (5th)

David Wright is slowly building support, with 14% on his third try. Unfortunately injuries derailed his candidacy, but if Chase Utley is headed for induction (59%), Wright deserves induction as well. I personally don’t like where the Hall voting is going, but no one listens to me.
Beltran finished just short in the IBWAA vote with 73%. Jones was not one our ballot; we elected him last year. Wright received 30%. Here’s our complete voting (annoyingly listed alphabetically):
