Daniel Murphy Named NLCS MVP
To the surprise of no one, Daniel Murphy has been named the MVP of the NLCS.
Murphy is having one of the great post-seasons of all-time. He has seven home runs, including long balls in each of the last six games. No one has ever done that before. He is hitting .421, including .529 in the Mets sweep of the Cubs. He also has a hit in each game for a nine-game hitting streak.
Other Mets standouts were Jacob deGrom, with a 3-0 record and a 2.57 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 20 innings. And Jeurys Familia, pitching in all but one of the Mets post-season games thus far, with three saves and not allowing a run.
But Murphy was better than everyone. Now it’s onto the World Series!
