IBWAA Names Kimbrel, Holland Top Relievers

The Internet Baseball Writers Association (IBWAA) Sunday named Craig Kimbrel and Greg Holland the top relievers in their respective leagues.

The National League award is named for Hoyt Wilhelm (the founder of the IBWAA is a huge Dodgers fan!). Kimbrel beat out Aroldis Chapman and Kenley Jansen.

Holland topped Dellin Betances and Wade Davis for the American League Rollie Fingers Award.

As a proud member of the IBWAA I cast my votes for the two winners. In the NL I had Jansen second and Trevor Rosenthal third. My AL second and third place votes went to Fernando Rodney and Zach Britton.

The IBWAA will release the rest of its post-season awards this week.
